  6. 1 can tomato puree (29 oz)
  7. 1 jar salsa (16 oz)
  8. 1 can beef broth (10.5 oz)
  9. 1 cup (to 2 cups) water
  10. 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  11. 1/4 cup chili powder
  12. 1 tbsp dried basil
  13. 2 tsp ground cumin
  14. 2 tsp steak sauce (A1 or Heinz 57)
  15. 1 tsp garlic powder
  16. 1 tsp salt
  17. 1 tsp ground black pepper
  18. 1 1/2 tsp browning sauce, optional (I never put this in)
  19. 1 Top with additional chopped onion, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, sour cream, and oyster crackers if you'd like!

  1. In large pot (I always use my Dutch oven) brown ground beef with onion, green bell pepper and celery. Drain

  2. Stir in all other ingredients, bring up to a boil, and then down to a simmer for 30 minutes, uncovered, or until desired thickness.

  3. Top with onion, cheese, sour cream, and oyster crackers if you'd like!
